I am so glad to see that other people have refused to take Boniva and Fosamax. I have had similar terrible side effects and have thrown my three future packages of Boniva away. I am taking a supplement my daughter who is an organic nutritionist has researched for me. It is called BONE Solid by Country Life. It has the magnesium and all of the other supplements that are now found to be necessary for all that calcium to even be absorbed. Taking it doesn't cause pain and I am feeling the improvements. Too bad that women are forced to take medications that are so bad simply because the doctors these days would rather take the easy route out and listen to the pharmacies instead of doing their own research!

I too have been told to take Boniva or Fosimax. When I first got the fosimax, I refused to take it due to the side effects. Then I was given Boniva and the directions for taking this scared me to death. So, I haven't taken either. Other doctors have told me that taking these WILL improve the bone structure as long as it isn't taken for years. I don't know what to do.
