What about benefits of exercise?

by Stan
(Albany, NY)

My girlfriend started to develop osteoporosis. She started to take some calcium pills. So far so good, but I did not see any improvement to speak of.
The I read somewhere that there were studies conducted by universities with patients exercising wearing weighted vests while walking. They claimed that "weight bearing exercise" improves the quality of bone.
So I went on the internet and found a nice looking vest and I bought it. My girlfriend liked it and what do you know? Her bone quality improved. Not a reversal of osteoporosis but a density of bone improvement.
Just in case somebody might be interested I'll tell you the make of the company that sells these vests
NYKNYC.com.
It is something that you, the osteoporosis patient, might consider. It is a holistic approach to healing.

Stan, thanks so much for your information! Exercise is definitely beneficial for most ailments. Make sure your girlfriend is using Magnesium along with the Calcium so that she doesn't end up with too much Ca with nowhere to go.

Good Luck.
