That One Morning

by Michel
(Ohio)

I chose to have my complete hysterectomy in October 2004, to end my pain from 3 cysts. My gyn told me I would have to begin to take calcium. I did, but hard to commit to 3 pills per day. 2009, now 51 years old and still looking better than most 30 year olds, I was an athlete, mother of 2 still exericising, eating fruit and vegetables, whole wheat, very low alcohol intake, non-smoker..looking bikini good. Then "that one morning", February 2, I slipped on black ice. Diagnois: Both rt ankle bones, broke / fractured in 3 places and the heel detached. An ugly foot/ankle with the help of P.T. has come a long way and a long way of progress to go. Now with a diagnois of osteoporosis and peri osteoporosis. I now take my 3/calcium a day, vitamin D. Now I have found your info to digest.

Michel, Make sure you're taking your Magnesium along with that Calcium!
