Sue Riggs

I was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) & Antiphospholipid Syndrome in December 2005. I didn't have a clue what Lupus was! It's been a relief knowing what all the aches & pains were about, and luckily for me I've got a great Consultant. I probably sound pathetic but sometimes I wished it did show on the 'outside' of me. Limping and even yelping with sudden pain in public makes me feel so stupid. I look so healthy and yet now need 8 different prescribed medications to keep me going. I would love for Lupus to be more well known. If that makes sense. I mean no harm to the people who have cancer here, but say cancer and people wince, say Lupus and people laugh or haven't got a clue what you mean. I was one of those once. Good luck for the future to everyone, with or without Lupus!
