spironolactone interaction with magnesium

I am keen to start taking magnesium supplements for osteoporosis -3.5 t score on spine but unfortunately I take spironolactone medication and there are warnings that magnesium would interact badly with this drug. Any experience of this or info?

We have no experience on this. However, the research that we did, does not show a problem with Magnesium intake and Spironolactone.

As the medicine is just basically increasing potassium, it may be possible to naturally increase potassium by using potassium based salt substitutes.
If you are taking it for high blood pressure, if your kidney's are in good shape, the cause of the high blood pressure is most likely calcification of the arteries. In this case, you would benefit by using the magnesium / no calcium regime to correct. MSM Powder can also help.
