pain

by Sandy Pereira
(Warsaw, Ont)

I was told that I have early stages of osteoporosis. My baby fingers are starting to bend at the joints. My xrays confirmed osteo. I'm confused! My pain is bad! RA is in my family. I tried to tell my doctor that something isn't right. Could you help me? Does Osteo cause your fingers to bend at the joints and cause a lot of swelling and pain?

Sandy,
Swelling and pain are associated with the Rhematoid Arthritis which is an autoimmune condition. You can read about autoimmune issues at www.gethealthyagain.com or, RA on this website.
Here is a helpful site: http://www.webmd.com/rheumatoid-arthritis/guide/hand-exercises-rheumatoid-arthritis
