Our Beautiful, Talented, Autistic Sister!

by Molly, 10 yr old sister
(iowa)

Our beautiful, loyal, loving, talented, caring, nice, respectful, imaginative older sister! She has very mild Autism, we are so lucky, she has the sweetest most blissful singing voice, we are about to put her in singing lessons. She can memorize a song the first time she hears it! I am one of the smarter kids and could never do that!! She has the most caring heart, no matter what the person looks like she could make friends with them in half a second. She cares for everyone. We are extremely lucky because she has pills she takes every day and she used to do therapy she has come a LONG way she is almost there, she is a very beautiful young lady, she is a straight A student and is ALWAYS caring for everyone she meets, she could walk up to someone drooling and to her they are the most beautiful person in the world. My sister does not know she has a little bit of Autism otherwise she would say she couldn't do things because she has Autism. I found this site today trying to look up Autism because today April 3rd I found out she had Autism. I found out because she had picked her nose when we were watching tv this morning, I went out of the room to watch tv somewhere else because of it. She came to sit with me and my other sister because she was lonely, I told her I came there because I didnt want to be near her. She went into her room and cried. My mom came back to see what was happening and I told her I was sorry in a rude way, then she went out of the room and my mother started to explain to me what was happening to her my mom started to cry and so did I so I decided to look up Autism and here I am now. My other sister is also typing a report now. So my sister is the most beautiful, loyal, loving, talented, caring, nice, respectful, imaginative older sister and I am PROUD of it. So the next time I come across someone who might be a little "different", I won't turn away, I will give them a simple hello because they are just like me, inside, but can't always express themselves the right way on the outside. Everyone could use a smile and a hello........especially those who don't receive them often.
