MY Six Year Old Child...

Hello, i have a six year old child that was diaginosed with autism when he was only ten months old. His name is Joseph. He is a very sweet loving child. I have two sons. Joseph is the oldest. His younger brother who is only 4 years old doesnt really understand his brothers condition. Joseph was diaginosed with mild to moderate autism. I had him in all kinds of programs that his doctor told me to put him in. They really didnt help much. Then when he got old enough for school they put him in a special ed school that delt with troubled kids or kids with special needs. Im not saying that its a bad thing, My son was thrown in there and you might as well say forgotten about by his teachers. he wasnt being taught, Just left to himself. I took him out of public school and homeschooled him now he can read and write really well. He loves to sing and dance. he can hear a song 1 time and know it by heart. Homeschooling was the best thing I have ever done for my child. The more one on one an autistic child gets the better off he or she is. And its best if the parent does the homeschooling.
