Having a Lupus flare up is depressing.

Hi I'm Luquey and I am 14 years old. I was diagnosed with Lupus at age 11/12. I usually wouldn't tell my story on the internet but today I am.
My ethnicity is Latino and I am the very first person in my family to get Lupus. And it was hard to go through pain and swelling joints at my age and still is. It was hard to live with a swollen liver and liquid around my lungs and heart. Thankfully my kidney is still functioning. Unlike other kids in the hospital I was in, some of them did not have their kidneys.
At the time I didn't know what was happening to me. It was hard to go to school everyday with pain in my chest and not being able to breathe clearly. I couldn't concentrate on things that were expected of me, I always had my mind on my pain. Till one day I felt Iike I was having a heart attack, so my mother had to call the ambulance. When they arrived, they asked my mother some questions about my symptoms. They made an evaluation and said it was pneumonia. I got to the hospital and said it was Lupus. So they transferred me to a hospital where there were specialists to make I did have Lupus. And obviously, I do. From then on I got treatment with medication that greatly helped. And improved ever since, with the help of my caregivers.
But today I have had my first flare up. My feet are swollen and basically all of my joints hurt really bad. And its hell because I can't walk straight. I haven't gone to school this whole week and I'm worried. And they are my first days of highschool, so imagine that.
I was in the sun for long periods of time for two weeks and one day. So thats what triggered it. I never knew the sun could have such great impact on ones' body including medication that makes you sensitive to the sun.

High dose MSM, working up to 15 grams a day for your, can greatly reduce that inflammation and helps with a host of lupus symptoms. Give it a try.
