Ex submariner.

by dennis Gates
(france)

at the age of 68,and after having suffered severe back pain which then progressed into the legs and even feet,I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis.I am resident in France and my doctor said that the osteo could have been a result of my earlier service lie in my 20-30 years age when i was a submariner.I have had a 12 course treatment of physio which has certainly helped the leg pain and some improvemnt of the back pain. However I was also prescribed Adrovance tablets to be taken weekly.I was extremely disturbed to read of the possible side effects on the makers leaflets even for allowing the obsessive "political awareness".
I have had 3 weeks treatment and have had the following-
severe flatulance,
head aches

sleep disturbances
some tiredness.
accelerated hair loss which isnt a family trait on either side.
I am seeking an alternate treatment and am not going to renew the prescription. It seems that the increased risk of fractures is not helped by this drug,so why take it.
