BROKEN PELVIS AT AGE 57

I took Actonel for 6 years. I had osteoporosis at age 40. My Mom also had it. I had my follow up bone density test. My spine got slightly better. But My hips got worse. My dr. said to take Fosamax. It would improve my hips. I did for a few months.I got sick to my stomach and stopped. I was very upset about my poor results from these drugs. I studied ballet my entire life. I was also a Dance Major in the University. What I am saying is I am very active with exercise. Weight bearing with jumping and movement.
I fell in a crack (hole) in the sidewalk in Sept. 2011 while I was walking. I had 3 severe breaks in my pelvis. I know I am too young for these types of breaks. After much rehab, rest, and recovery I am fine.
Sad thing is this never should have happened. My Orthopedic Dr. kept saying," Are you sure you were not hit by a car? Your bones so badly snapped when they broke?"
I hope my story can help other people avoid these terrible medications.
I sold drugs for Bayer Pharmaceuticals for a short time. It was educational how bad all drugs are for most people.
There should be laws to protect people. It will always be about the money being made. Not saving peoples lives!
I have improved my bone density. I take Vita Cost high quality Calcium Citrate, with D and Magnesium.
My bone density went to Osteo-penia with no drugs!
