You story is one that every parent or grandparent of an autistic child would love to tell 15 years from now. How thankful you should be. May God bless you and your family and the many families still held captive by this disease.

Autism isn't nonsense!!! by: Anonymous
I think it's nonsense that you would say something like that. Thank GOD your kids are fine but there are people out in the world who go through it everyday with thier autistic child(ren). It's hard when you don't know why your child is crying and can't speak to let you know whats wrong. Or when you think about how the world will treat him or her when they get older. I have a 4yr old autistic child who's very intelligent, she was diagnosed at the age of 2. The help for her starts at home. Autism is real and who knows where it came from all I know is that my child has it and I as well as her sister and father will do what all we can to make sure that she learns and grows to be normal.

Autism Nonsense by: Anonymous
Hello Jan,
Do you suggest that autism is nonsense because you're child was once misdiagnosed? If so you are truly mistaken. I suggest you volunteer your time at a special day class at a public school or visit an autism support group. Listen to the parents, spend time with the children, and thank God your children were misdiagnosed.

Response to the 194 IQ by: Anonymous
I have spent the last 3 years working a second job, the rescue of my son from this condition, having acquired a knowledge base that is equivalent to a biochemistry/physiology degree, as it relates to Autism. Here is what I have learned:
Autistic children do not produce enough glutathione. Autistic children also produce abnormal levels of methylation in metabolic processes. This causes inflammation in the digestive tract and brain, triggering many of the behaviors we associate with Autism.
If people want to help, urge the medical community to make definitive scientific testing possible prior to rounds of immunization for these kids. Also, these types of kids (Autistic kids with poor mitochondrial function) should have shots administered in controlled, well orchestrated dosages that are different from "typical" kids.
