Autism is soo invisible
My beautiful, quiet little girl was born healthy,(first child) I did everything I should do for her getting her exams, and she has all her shots. I always thought she was just a shy girl as she was growing up. She knew her colors, abc, and can count up to ten, and knew her shapes age two. She spoke some single words. Age 3, she started to read, and read bigger words like "Marshmellow Treasures", I was amazed, loved to read books, can write her abc, words,and her name. She loves music, and any art work, but mostly draws alot. But, then still where the words?? So, I took her to preschool, to see being around the kids help. It helped her to get close to them but still no interaction with them, teacher said she does well, like cleaning up, sit in circle time, other activities. Four months gone by after turning four still no communication, and found out she autistic. For a very bright girl, who I thought was just a very shy girl. She has a baby sister is now two and half,and she is very opposite of her, and I'm hearing more and more words out of her. She has had her shots, but still need other shots, and I'm afraid to, now I found out of my four yr.old, and doing some research, I feel it's cause by vaccine shots. My daughter has so far has said four sentences. She can understand sign language, she sees pictures of earth, volcanoes, rhino, unicyle and knows what they are,and loves to plant garden,play music intruments, she does things like a normal child would do, and still it's amazing that I never saw the autism in her, it is sooo invisible. Now, that I know she has it, I do see some signs of her and now we understand more of her situation and it makes easier on us now that we know, now we just have to work with her. |
