17 years old with lupus and very scared

I have lupus and i am 17 years old. I found out i had lupus in 2008. I had lots of joint pain and i had lots of pain in my hands. I did not now what was going on with me. i felt that something bad was taking over my body. i was rushed to the hospital two times till the doctor who saw me told me i had reynaud's syndrome. That is a side effect with lupus so he automatically said i have lupus. It has been under control since with my meds but after reading others story i am now scared of what can happen to me in the long run. so i just want to see if i can talk to someone who can give me some advice.
